Committee member profile: Tim Petersen

Tim Petersen
Vice President

Tim Petersen joined the PTUA in 1999, and together with other concerned residents, started the Geelong Branch to campaign for improvements to the region’s woeful public transport services. He served as the Branch Convener until late 2006.

He is currently a PhD candidate in Transport Planning through the Centre for Governance and Management of Urban Transport (GAMUT) at the University of Melbourne.

Tim describes himself as a ‘committed fair weather’ cyclist, and is inspired by the potential for a more sustainable transport system.
